8GB Ram = Vista 64 Bit. Vista 64 Bit = Driver compatibility problems. Far fewer problems with a 32bit OS, but of course you're limited to a bit over 3GB maximum, not that that is Vista is W98 all over again. Not really. Vista 64 bit could maybe be likened to W95 which was the first mainstream 32 bit OS.

Since Vista-64 supports the older programs to a degree, it has to account for the 32-bit code and revert back to that 32-bit code making it not a true 64-bit o/s. So your view is that a "true 64-bit OS" contains no 32-bit code, and can't run 32-bit apps at all? Certainly, by this standard, Vista is not a 'true'
